I see a couple of online ads advertising new websites providing information about new houses on the market.  Seeing these ads, I can tell that, when they started developing these websites, real estate was really booming and you couldn't find your home so easily.  You had to spend a lot of time to look for one.  Real estate market isn't dead, but it's cooling down.  Consequently, it's a bit weird to see ads advertising websites that  supposedly email you when a new house is listed on the market presuming that the house will be sold in a day or two.  Understanding the market and predicting the future is tough.

The markets, as with many other complex systems, are inherently chaotic, so predicting how they'll behave is a tricky business akin to predicting the weather for the coming year.  You can make educated guesses but thats all they are.

Even predicting the weather for tomorrow! ...never mind for the next 50 years.
Seems more like a game you get better at the more you play.
