A few simple steps can improve gardening in the shade
The same signature mountains that push skyward toward the sun in the Chugiak-Eagle River area cast a long shadow when it comes to gardening. While other locations, such as Anchorage, might enjoy up to 18 hours of daylight in the summer, local geography often limits what can be grown.
