verticillium wilt

Definition

Caused by the fungi Verticillium albo-atrum and V. dahliae. A serious vascular disease of hundreds of woody and herbaceous plant hosts. Food crop hosts include everything from raspberries and strawberries, to tomatoes and potatoes.
