Bergenia cordifolia 'Purpurea'

With their showy early bloom and excellence as a ground cover, these are favorites for moist shaded areas near pools and streams. Growth of the thick clumps and colonies slows in full sun. Leaves are thick, wavy and cabbage-like below the pink, white or rosy purple flower spikes.
Bergenia cordifolia
Vivid, magenta flowers held high above big leaves that turn bronzy purple in fall give this a different look than other Bergenia. Leaves have a reddish tint when grown in full sun, but plants need partial shade in hot summer areas.
