Bidens ferulifolia 'Golden Goddess'

Tickseed, Beggar's Ticks, Bur-Marigold

These leggy wildflowers look at home in a natural garden or meadow. Flowers range from smallish, all-yellow bunches of petals to bigger white-petaled 'daisies'. A few are red or purple. Bidens tripartita grows in damp habitats and is used for natural dyes. Bidens bipinnata makes excellent wild honey, though it is weedy with inconspicuous flowers. All have hooked bristles on seed capsules. Sun-lovers, they need moisture-retentive soil.
