Browallia speciosa

Bush Violet, Amethyst Flower

These are excellent annual or perennial plants or shrubs for connoisseurs of blue flowers. These star-like tubular flowers also bloom in violet or white. They bloom best in warm shade and filtered sunlight, and make good cut flowers. Use in shaded areas or in hanging pots or containers. Need plenty of water and warm temperatures to thrive. In optimum conditions, these annuals may overwinter. Plants may be hard to find in nurseries so get seed from specialists.
