Cedrus atlantica 'Pendula'

Cedar

Evergreen, cone-bearing cedar trees bear needles in tufted clusters to form a pyramidal shape. As the trees mature, they have flatter tops with large supporting trunks and limbs. In early spring or late winter, male catkins dust their surroundings with yellow pollen. Plant them where their branches have plenty of room to spread. These deep-rooted trees are drought-tolerant once established. Cedar wood is fragrant. Protect from strong winds. Tips can die back from cold temperatures or from the deodar weevil.
Cedrus atlantica, Cedar
A rare and choice weeping selection of Atlas Cedar with erect, almost columnar branches that become pendant with time. It has green needles and is less hardy than the more commonly planted 'Glauca Pendula' which has pendant grayish-blue needles. Stake to form a weeping umbrella shaped tree. Dramatic when trained on an arbor.
