| Slender spires of tiny, white, fluffy, bottlebrush-like flowers rise high above fernlike leaves in late summer or early fall. These elegant perennials tolerate fairly heavy shade, but take full sun with ample water in deep, richly organic soil. Excellent for woodland or wild gardens, or for a strong, vertical element in the back of shady flower borders. Use dried seed clusters in flower arrangements. Divide in fall or early spring before growth starts. |
