Violet Trumpet Vine

Of these climbing sub-tropical vines only one is generally grown. They are best in warm regions, but are so colorful they are worth growing even where they are only marginally hardy. They die down to the ground at 20º F, dying at 10º F. Prune in late winter or early sping to control vigorous growth. Remove spent flowers.

This vigorous vine is prized for its trumpet-shaped flowers, which last over a long season, and its glossy, dark, evergreen leaves. Climbs trellises and arbors by tendrils, though needs support for walls.
