| Grown for its big, glossy leaves with brilliant stripes of pink, red, bronze, yellow or purple -- or a combination of these. Plant in warm climates as accents in dappled shade or in containers on patios, terraces or in a humid greenhouse. Water generously, but do not saturate soil. Remove tips from young plants to promote branching. Propagate by green wood cuttings from first stem tips in spring or summer. Prune to shape from time to time. |
