Meadow Saffron

Large Crocus-like flowers bloom on this member of the Lily family in the fall after the leaves have died down. Excellent for woodland and rock gardens, along pathways and in flower borders. All parts of the plant are poisonous. Buy and plant corms in late summer for fall bloom.

A popular fall bloomer, its purple flowers are 4 inches across. Each corm produces as many as 6 flowers. Pink, white and double, rose-colored flowers also available.
