Coreopsis grandiflora 'Sunray'

Sunray Coreopsis

Their vibrant, eye-catching, daisy-like, yellow blooms make long-lasting cut flowers. Easy to grow, these long-blooming North American natives are good for beginning gardeners. Single- and double-flowering varieties available. Use these drought-tolerant plants in sunny, wild gardens, flower borders and containers. Attract songbirds. The common name comes from the shape of the seed which is flattened like a tick. Buy in containers. Plant or divide these summer bloomers in fall or spring. Self-sows.
Coreopsis grandiflora, Sunray Coreopsis
Although these plants may be short-lived, their large, double flowers bloom profusely, for up to three months. Shear to remove old blooms and encourage new ones.
