Correa pulchella

Australian Fuchsia

This shapely, low, dense shrub flowers freely outdoors where winters are mild, and is grown in greenhouses. Attractive in containers where the tubular flowers, which resemble fuchsia flowers, can be seen up close. The small leaves have felt-like undersides. Drought-tolerant once established. Plant in poor, alkaline, well-drained soils. Poor drainage, over-watering or over-fertilizing kills these plants. Prune tips to encourage bushiness.
