Crambe cordifolia

These perennial herbs hoften have bold, blue-green leaves and sprays of white flowers in summer. Use for flower beds or informal plantings. Crambe cordifolia makes an excellent, fragrant perennial border. Leaf shoots of Crambe maritima (Sea Kale) are eaten as a spring vegetable. Tolerates shade but prefers a roomy, sunny spot. Easy to grow from seed, but will not bloom until the third year. Plants raised from cuttings will bloom sooner.
