Delosperma cooperi

Trailing Ice Plant

When you break or cut open the succulent-like foliage of these flowering ground covers, the flesh is shiny and translucent like ice. Flowers come in golden-yellow, purple or Delosperma 'Alba' in white. Fire-retardant, they grow quickly to cover banks, some even growing in sand. Thrive in full sun with good drainage, but are hardy even under snow. Need some irrigation in dry seasons. Cut back as needed to control growth.
