Draba oligosperma
Use this small, mat-forming plant in rock gardens, wall gardens, containers or other intimate settings. Native to mountain and subarctic regions, they have tightly clustered leaves in rosettes and small yellow flowers. For a flat mat of greenery to cover small bulbs, in crevices or on small hills, plant Draba sibirica. It spreads out into a first-class carpet of green, but will not threaten most other plants. Draba aizoides forms small, dense hills, and Draba oligosperma makes silvery mats. Draba can stand the cold, but not soggy soil. |

Overlapping leaves of this Rocky Mountain native form a matted cushion that looks good in rock gardens. Do not let it dry out.
