Dracaena draco

Dragon Tree

Some of these tropical African plants are popular indoors, while others are grown outdoors in frost-free climates as large specimens. Some types have graceful and fountain-like foliage of ribbon-like leaves. Others have stiff and sword-like leaves. Flowers on outdoor plants are red, green or white. Houseplants do not usually flower, but htey do remove pollutants from the air. They tolerate low light and dry air. A resin from their stems, called Dragon's Blood, is used to make varnish and other chemicals. Reduce watering in winter.
