Dudleya brittonii

These rosette-forming succulents are similar to Echiveria, with beautiful leaves often coated with chalky powder. Bears masses of yellow or red flowers in spring or summer. Good in rock gardens and containers. Plant in gritty, sandy soil, and shelter from rain and frost. Water sparingly in mid-summer, when plants are dormant.

Rosettes of up to 1 foot across look like big, chalk-colored flowers. Small clusters of star-shaped blooms may appear on mature plants.
