Epimedium x youngianum 'Roseum'

Bishop's Hat, Bishop's Mitre, Barrenwort

Valued for their airy spring flowers and shiny evergreen to deciduous leaves, use these tough, low-growing perennials for shady flower borders, woodland and rock gardens and containers. Excellent, slow-spreading ground cover under large trees and shrubs. Colorful leaves are bronzy-pink in spring, green in summer and bronze in fall. Spikes of flowers bloom red, white, pink or yellow in spring. Long-lasting cut flowers. Drought resistant once established. Deer resistant. Divide in spring or fall. Cut back in late winter or early spring to encourage spring flowers and new growth.
