Erodium chamaedryoides 'Bishop's Form'
Alpine Geranium, Storksbill, Cranesbill
Varieties of this low-growing, spreading perennial survive in such tough spots as the limestone cliffs of Spain or the mountains of Greece. Use the Heronsbill, named for its beaked fruits, for a flowering ground cover or in a rock garden. Plant in dry, very well-drained soil with limestone if possible. In cold climates, protect plants in winter and keep a few young plants in cold frames to replace those lost over the winter. |

Good for rock gardens.
