Euryops pectinatus

Near the coast and where winters are mild, these bright yellow, daisy-like flowers bloom almost non-stop. The shrubby, evergreen plants have fern-like leaves in silvery gray or bright green. Need excellent drainage. Drought-tolerant when established, but need some water during hot periods. Cut back older plants to encourage new growth after flowering in late spring. Cut off old flowers to encourage more blooms. Dwarf varieties to 3 feet tall are available.
Euryops pectinatus
Easy care and long-lasting bright yellow bloom for most of the year make it useful as edging, filler, background plant, or low screen. Cut back side branches to control size. Good for rock gardens.
