Gladiolus hortulanus 'Rose Supreme'

One of the most popular flowering bulbs, their tall, magnificent spikes of flowers are excellent when cut. You can also buy hardy, small-flowered dwarf types for smaller spaces. Spikes are available in many colors and can have more than 20 ruffled and flaring flowers in solids and bicolors. Plant in groups for masses of color, or in containers. Grow low, mounding plants to cover shorter stems. In cold winter climates, dig up and store bulbs in a frost free location. Plant after frost in spring at least 4 inches deep. In mild winter areas, plant fall through spring. When cutting flowers, leave at least 4 leaves on the plant to ensure next year's flowers.
