Quaker Ladies or Bluets are mat-forming, summer-flowering perennials that thrive in damp, shady spots. Plant in acid soil in rock gardens, open woodlands or shaded paths. Mulch with leaf mold or other organic material in fall. Plant often self-sows.

Self-sufficient but small plant best for wet soil. Tiny flowers about ¼-inch across on slender stalks.
