Hymenocallis narcissiflora

Peruvian Daffodil, Spider Lily

Unusual flowers resemble a daffodil surrounded by a ring of 6 spider-like petals. The Peruvian Daffodil is a summer-flowering bulb good for borders and containers. Each bulb produces 3 to 4 fragrant blooms of white with green stripes on tall leafless flower stalks. Leaves are long and strap-like. Hardy in warm winter climates, but can be grown in colder climates. Grow from bulbs or seed. Variety 'Sulphurea' has pale yellow flowers. 'Advance' blooms pure white.
