One of the easiest types of Iris to grow, the Siberian Iris has narrow, dark green upright foliage and 2 to 5 flowers per stem. The clumps increase quickly to form substantial tufts, which rarely need to be divided. One drawback -- the foliage sometimes hides the slightly shorter flowers. Shear foliage back a little just before flowering time to expose them. Buy bareroot plants in the winter or in containers in the spring. If buying bareroot, make sure the roots are moist, not dried out.
These bright white flowers stand out against other foliage.
