Limnanthes douglasii
Meadow Foam, Poached Egg Plant
Best in cool climates, these low, short-lived West Coast natives are easy to grow in moist soil. Plant them near water, as edging, or in rock gardens. Leave spent flowers, and they will naturalize in the right conditions. Blooms in white, yellow or rose. Sow seed in spring or, in mild winter climates, early fall. |

A marsh plant, its fragrant bright yellow flowers are edged with white. Also available in plain yellow, pink, or white. Feathery leaves are light green.
