Nymphaea 'Bagdad'
Waterlily
These aquatic plants are prized for their star-shaped, semi-double flowers which bloom in many colors. Flowers and large leaves float on or rise just above the surface of water. Need full sun to bring out their gorgeous blooms. Plant easy-to-grow, hardy varieties where freezing winters kill the tender tropical varieties. Plant rhizomes on the surface of soil, 8 to 12 inches below the waterline, in a pond or container. |

Though tropical, it tolerates cold better than most and is less likely to go dormant in early spring. Can produce new offsets on the leaves. Good for medium to large sized pools.
