Parthenocissus henryana

Silver Vein Creeper

Use these vines and ground covers to blanket rough walls and arbors. In autumn, the deciduous leaves turn fiery colors and are interspersed with clusters of dark blue berries that attract birds. Tolerate most soils. Support growing plants. Do not plant to cover wood or shingled siding, as the vines will grow under planks. Tendrils are hard to remove. Prone to leaf hoppers and Japanese beetles. Start new plants from cuttings in spring.
