Philadelphus x 'Natchez'

Natchez Mock Orange, Sweet Mock Orange

This is a large group of fast-growing, vigorous shrubs with fountainlike shapes. The shrubs produce showy white flowers with orange stamens and a strong fragrance reminiscent of an orange blossom. Several species, hybrids and cultivars are available. Remove oldest branches in spring just after flowering to maintain compactness and to reinvigorate plants. Use the taller types in lawns or as background and smaller forms as low hedges.
