Jacob's Ladder

Offering clusters of summer color for shady places, most species, such as Jacob's Ladder, are wildflowers native to North America. Flowers in blue, pink or white. The attractive foliage has a divided, fernlike appearance. Use in cool, moist woodland or shady rock gardens. Plant with Hosta, ferns, Bleeding Heart, lilies, Hellebores and Campanulas. Sold in containers throughout the growing season. Easily grown from seed or divided plants.

The most commonly available species, it is grown for its blue flowers and lacy foliage. There is also a white variety.
