Stenomesson variegatum

The hanging funnel-shaped flowers of these natives of the Andes bloom for weeks in spring and summer. Strap-shaped leaves develop with flowers. Blooms in all colors except white. Will not tolerate temperatures below 45º F, so best grown indoors or in greenhouses. Water during growing season, then let soil dry out. Remove offsets before growth begins again.
