Tibouchina urvilleana grandiflora

Princess Flower, Pleroma, Glory Bush

Fuzzy leaves and tropical-looking flowers in brilliant purple make these Brazilian natives popular in mild climates and greenhouses. They are tall plants with fast and airy growth. New growth and buds sprout soft orange and bronze-red hairs. Keep roots in the shade, while sunning the tops. Grow from cuttings. Protect from wind. Watch for tobacco budworms in the flower buds.
