Line roads or long driveways with tall, uniform, pyramidal Lindens. Their dense foliage becomes covered with fragrant yellowish flowers that attract honeybees. In colder regions, foliage turns yellow in fall. Aphid infestation causes honeydew drip. Stake young trees. Prune to remove basal sprouts and dead or damaged limbs. Mulch to keep soil moist and cool.
This hardy deciduous tree has broad, jagged leaves and clusters of small white flowers.
