Torenia fournieri 'Clown'
Torenia
Its common name refers to the curious arrangement of the stamens in a wishbone shape. A valuable annual for partially shady gardens, its small, multicolored, Snapdragon-like flowers come in soft shades of blue, purple, yellow, rose and white. Charming in beds, pots or hanging baskets, anywhere the blossoms may be enjoyed close up. In autumn, leaves turn reddish, which contrasts nicely with the blooms. In cool summer areas, plant in full sun. Native to the tropics, so move plants outside well after last spring frosts. In fall, dig up and grow as house plants. |

An early blooming All-America Selections winner, this compact, rounded plant bears a wide variety of flower colors.
