Cheerful, the multi-petaled yellow or orange flowers look like Ranunculus. Their warm colors mix nicely with the blue of Campanulas. Excellent cut flowers depending on the variety, blooms are 1½ to 4 inches across. They grow in moist and swampy areas and have thick fibrous roots. Choose plant location carefully as they grow slowly and do not like being moved. They also do not like heat, drought, or much sun, so plant in shady areas, especially near pools. Watch for aphids. Buy in containers in spring. |
