Highbush Blueberry

These ornamental shrubs attract birds with their clusters of flowers and edible fruits, such as blueberries and huckleberries. Nice in woodland settings, wine barrels, or other containers. Needs acid soil and mulching. Propogate by semi-ripe cuttings in summer or by seed in fall.

Deciduous, upright, slightly arching shrub. Dark, almost blue green, lustrous leaves turn red in fall. In spring, small white flowers bloom in profusion, followed by sweet, edible, blue-black berries that ripen in late summer.
