Viola x wittrockiana 'Imperial Frosty Rose'
Pansy, Annual Violet
From tiny ¾-inch Johnny-jump-ups to giant pansy strains with flowers 5 inches across, Violas are beloved garden flowers. Their cheerful, smiling blossoms come in many bright and deep-toned colors, in solid and multi-colored flowers, with contrasting splashes of color and finely detailed whisker-like markings. Use in masses as edging or bedding in combination with spring flowering bulbs. Excellent in woodland and rock gardens, containers and hanging baskets. Flowers are edible and can be used for flavoring candy, tea, cakes and drinks. Johnny-jump-ups add color to salads. Violas love cool weather and continue bloom after light frosts. In hot summer climates, remove plants in early summer. Best in partial shade, but tolerate full sun in cool summer climates. In mild winter climates, plant in fall for winter and spring bloom. Watch for spider mites. |

An All-America Selections winner, its white flowers have deep to light-rose centers.
