I Burned My Venus Fly Trap
« on: January 06, 2007, 07:33:46 pm »
I did read the label on my Venus Fly Trap.  It said that fertilizer is NOT necessary.  I bought this from Kroger's floral section quite a few years back.  I also read on the Miracle Gro label that it was safe for all plants, including the VFT.  Well take my advice now.  Never put fertilizer on your Venus Fly Trap.  It burned it and it died.

Yes, the Venus Flytrap is pretty particular about its environment. It likes sun, but the soil must be acidic and moist. Venus Flytraps are perfect for bog gardens.
