These slow-growing fan palms are natives of Baja, Mexico, and need little water or care. Long clusters of creamy white flowers bloom in spring, followed by edible fruits. Their coarse foliage comes in shades of green to blue-green. Will not tolerate wet soil or shade. Remove dead leaves.

Dead leaf stalks over 2 feet long with single or double spines cover the trunk of this Palm tree. It bears small, yellow fruit less than 1-inch long.
