This deciduous, single- or multi-trunked tree slowly grows into an oval shape. Its foliage gives dappled shade. The shaggy bark is soft and easily damaged. Flowers and fruit are small and inconspicuous. Pest- and disease-resistant. Need lots of water. Mulch to keep soil cool and moist. Protect from hot drying winds.
The bottom lobes of leaves on this weeping form sometimes overlap. Leaves are more rounded than the species.
