Turtlehead

Easy to grow Turtleheads are similar to Penstemons but do well in partial shade. At home beside lakes, streams, ponds and other boggy areas, they require little care besides watering. Hooded lilac-pink flowers are shaped like a turtle's head. Propagate by seed sown in spring or cutting in summer.

Flowers each look like a turtle's head and are attractive with Japanese Anemone, which also prefers partial shade.
