Cranberry Cotoneaster
This fast-growing group of evergreen-to-deciduous shrubs and ground covers features showy fruits that attract birds. Most are low-maintenance shrubs, requiring meager amounts of water and only occasional pruning to control shape and size. Plant in full fun, except in desert climates, where they need shade during the hottest time of day. Watch for fireblight. They do not transplant easily. |

Since its branches do not root, it is sometimes grafted to another Cotoneaster to form a weeping tree. The leaves are glossy green above and bluish below. Fruit is light red. Plant in late summer or early in fall.
