Himalayan Blue Poppy

A spectacular group of often short-lived poppies with large, showy, cup-shaped flowers of intense colors ranging from white to yellow to pink to red to blue and purple. All need cool, moist soils and in warm summer climates are often very short lived.

This flower has been the delight and frustration of gardeners the world over. Best planted in the northwestern United States, this short-lived perennial demands a cool, humid climate, rich acid soil, and dappled to bright shade.
