
Very fast-growing, it forms a thin, spreading crown of slender branches with nodding tips. Both cones and catkins dangle among the leaves in fall. Needs regular water or streamside location. Stands up to heat and wind. Watch for tent caterpillars in native West Coast and Pacific Northwest areas.
