Citrus limon 'Eureka'

Eureka Lemon, Lemon

Mornings would not be the same without juices, like orange or grapefruit, from citrus trees. And summers without lemonade? These shrubby trees produce edible tropical fruits. They have thorny stems and fragrant white flowers that attract bees. Grow in warm climates outdoors or in containers brought in during winter. All types need citrus fertilizer, which has supplemental amounts of iron, magnesium and zinc. Ornamental and dwarf varieties are available. Protect from strong winds and frost.
Citrus limon, Eureka Lemon, Lemon
This smallest of the Lemon varieties produces standard, yellow, sour market lemons throughout the year. Of all the citruses, Lemons need the least amount of heat to produce fruit. Found on dwarfing rootstock and as a 20-foot-tall tree. Dwarf types are preferred in California's cooler coastal areas since more fruit ripens in late spring and early summer.
