Spiraea japonica 'Little Princess'

Tough and hardy, Spiraea tolerate sun or light shade and many different soil types as long as drainage is good. It is a large genus of shrubs with showy white, pink, or rosy-red flowers. Prune spring-blooming species during or just after flowering. Prune summer-flowering species from late winter into early spring. Deadhead old flowers to extend blooming.

Slow-growing, it forms 3 feet tall by 6 feet wide mounds, covered in clusters of rose pink blooms from mid to late summer. Small, dark, mint-green leaves are bronze when young.
