Tough and hardy, Spiraea tolerate sun or light shade and many different soil types as long as drainage is good. It is a large genus of shrubs with showy white, pink, or rosy-red flowers. Prune spring-blooming species during or just after flowering. Prune summer-flowering species from late winter into early spring. Deadhead old flowers to extend blooming.

One of the most popular Spiraeas. In June and July it is a spray of graceful arching branches covered with showy, creamy white clusters of lightly fragrant flowers.
